The St. Joe Company and Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) have announced a significant milestone in Panama City Beach's healthcare landscape with the opening of the first building at the FSU/TMH Medical Campus.

New Medical Services Available

The newly constructed medical office building, located at 1002 N. Arnold Road (Highway 79), now houses two key healthcare services:

TMH Urgent Care

TMH Physician Partners - Primary Care

These facilities are now open and serving patients, marking the beginning of an ambitious healthcare development project.

Campus Development Plans

The 87-acre campus is a collaborative effort between St. Joe, TMH, and Florida State University (FSU). This first building is just the start of a comprehensive healthcare hub planned for the area. Future developments include:

An ambulatory surgery center and cardiology services, expected to be operational in the medical office building this fall

A 100-bed hospital with an emergency center, anticipated to be complete in 2027

Additional inpatient services including surgery, cardiology procedures, and imaging.

Meeting Community Needs

Andrew Starr, Vice President and Chief Health Operations Officer overseeing TMH's operations in Panama City Beach, emphasized the importance of this development:

"Because we are a nonprofit healthcare system, we are responsive to the needs of our region. One of the things we've heard loud and clear is that there is a great need for healthcare in this area."

Economic Impact

Jorge Gonzalez, CEO of St. Joe, highlighted the broader implications of this healthcare initiative:

"The economic growth and vitality of Northwest Florida is affected by a variety of factors, one of those being the health and well-being of our residents and visitors."

Available Services

TMH Physician Partners - Primary Care:

Located in suite 102, this practice is accepting new patients and features Drs. John Woltz and Laura Yauch.

TMH Urgent Care:

Situated in suite 101, this facility offers same-day care for minor injuries, cold and flu, rashes, earaches, minor fractures, and other illnesses.

This development represents a significant step forward in healthcare accessibility for Panama City Beach residents and visitors, with the potential for far-reaching positive impacts on the entire Northwest Florida region.
